Will you have the skills when you need them? River rescue skills are an essential part of your whitewater education and are best learned before you need them. These one and two day courses are packed with technical skills and information preparing you for rescue situations.
We'll examine boat- and shore-based rescue, rescue gear, and discuss how to recognize and avoid river hazards. In this course we'll cover whitewater swimming, wading in whitewater, rope throwing, unpinning boats, and extrication. This course is offered to paddlers of all ability levels.
