Overview
Sea kayaks are the most versatile, sea worthy, and efficient watercraft ever designed. Created by Native Americans hundreds of years ago, these boats are light, stable, easy to paddle, and fast enough to cover considerable distance in a day. The high mountain lakes of the greater Yellowstone area provide one of the most diverse and beautiful training grounds in the world for learning to sea kayak.
One of the best inland paddling destinations in the country the high mountain lakes of the greater Yellowstone area provide one of the most diverse and beautiful training grounds in the world for learning to sea kayak. High mountains, endless lodgepole forests, meadows covered with wildflowers, and wild animals such as Moose, Elk, and Bald Eagles, in their native environment allow for a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing get-away.
Kayaking is like backpacking, with one notable exception: everything is carried
in the kayak, not on your back! There are no trails to follow, so you can go
anywhere there's water. With half and full day outings up to 6-day wilderness
trips, safety, fun, and learning experiences are our priorities, coupled with
an appreciation for the natural environment. An experienced instructor/guide
accompanies each trip and no prior kayaking experience is required, we welcome
first time paddlers and seasoned veterans alike. Yellowstone National Park never
looks better than from the seat of a kayak!
